ANNIVERSARY LAYOUT
To celebrate Chemex’s 80th anniversary, I designed a mobile and desktop website in my UI class last Fall. I modernized a 50’s esthetic to create an interactive and clean design. My palette and type choices are limited and bold.
While I was designing layout, brand, and color, I wanted to portray a modernized vintage style. I used black and white images with accents for some elements and buttons.

MOBILE VERSION
The mobile experience is a streamlined and dynamic layout. Because I designed for mobile first, my layout was strategically organized to display information in a pleasing “scroll-friendly” way.
As further incentive to purchase coffee during Chemex’s anniversary, packaging was created specifically for the celebration. Pattern’s and graphics were made to create a box and coffee bag for buyers taking advantage of the website’s offers.

IMMERSIVE
Immersive is a mobile app experience I developed for my independent senior project. My app is for museum-goers who enjoy the interactive galleries that have become so popular in the last few years. After downloading my app, users would scan a provided code at the museum and “collect” that experience. Users can add to the gallery in their app as well as collect information about the art itself, allowing them to revisit their past museum experiences. A website was also designed to bring interest in the app and provide information about how the app works.
ICONS AND BRANDING
Before building the app and web designs, a branding system had to be put in place so there was a cohesive visual approach. The buttons were design to be experimental and dynamic. With all branding, the adjective were minimal dynamism.
TYPE AND COLOR
Only three colors included in the design in addition to the off white background. This allowed the for continuity throughout all pages and artwork. Type choice is minimal, less expressive. There is a variance between app and web as the website uses a uppercase serif. This allowed for more interest and sophistication in the app.
